We are excited to announce two recent additions to the Berke IO psychology team.
Neil A. Morelli, Ph.D., is Berke's VP of Product and Assessment Science. He specializes in talent acquisition, data science, and product development. Before joining Berke, Dr. Morelli was the Head of Product and Selection Science for The Cole Group, an executive search firm serving high-growth technology companies. He has also worked for an early stage, web-based assessment company and as a talent management consultant for Fortune 500 companies including Georgia Pacific, Wal-Mart, Bridgestone Tires, and Texas Instruments. Dr. Morelli received his Ph.D. in I-O Psychology from the University of Georgia and his M.S. in I-O Psychology from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. His research interests include technology-enabled recruitment and assessment and he has authored several articles and book chapters in a variety of peer-reviewed publications.
Neil is in charge of the science behind Berke. He oversees changes and upgrades to the assessment. Specifically, He works with new customers to implement and validate the test. Once implemented, he evaluates the performance of the assessment. He also leads Berke’s primary research and development efforts to upgrade the assessment and develop new products. To help him do this, Neil works closely with Dr. Amy Shaw, Sr. Assessment Scientist.
Melissa Kapnek, MA, SPHR, SHRM-CP, FPC is an Assessment Consultant at Berke, where she specializes in job analysis & statistical benchmarking to create predictive hiring profiles. Melissa has over a dozen years of experience in Human Resources in job analysis and classification, for both government entities and the private sector. Melissa holds a Master’s degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from The University of Georgia and a Bachelor’s degree in English from Florida State University. She focuses on using empirical data to help our customers make better hiring decisions and translates academic research into practical applications for HR Professionals.
Melissa is the primary point of contact for current customers. She implements job fit benchmarks, answers assessment related questions, and makes sure that customers have what they need to make the best hiring decisions.
