Kelly Land
CEO
Kelly co-founded Berke and is responsible for developing and executing our business strategy. He also draws on his extensive background in technology to guide the design and development of Berke’s products.
Prior to Berke, Kelly served as founder and principal of Copenhill, a professional services firm specializing in corporate financial management, organizational development, and operations improvement. Kelly’s work with Copenhill galvanized his belief that an organization’s productivity and profitability are directly tied to the quality of its people.
Kelly started his first company when he was 16 and has been an entrepreneur at heart ever since. Kelly has a strong operational background and extensive consulting expertise. After receiving a B.A. in Economics from Washington and Lee University, Kelly joined Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) where he led multi-year consulting engagements at clients such as BellSouth and UPS. He later joined an Atlanta-based technology company that developed and marketed HR-related software and served as CTO before being named President and COO.

Bob McDonald, Ph.D.
VP Science and Research
Bob drives the ongoing research, development, and validation of Berke’s products to ensure they are continually evolving to better meet our clients’ needs.
With a Masters and Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of Tennessee and an undergraduate B.A. in Psychology from Emory University, Bob has conducted extensive research regarding the impact of natural talents and personality traits on people’s work and careers. He previously founded The Highlands Company, a talent assesment company dedicated to helping people pursue the right career choices based on their natural talents.
Bob has been featured numerous times on both television and radio as an expert on management, careers and executive talent. He’s been cited frequently in the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times and the Atlanta Journal and Constitution, and authored the popular biweekly column, Your Life’s Work, appearing in a number of business publications nationwide. He is the author of two books: The Lemming Conspiracy and and Don’t Waste Your Talent.

Martin Freedland
President Berke Consulting
Martin co-founded Berke and leads our consulting practice. He’s been helping organizations continually improve the way they recruit, hire, train, manage and motivate their people for over three decades. After leaving Wall Street, Martin founded Organizational Development Associates, Inc. in Atlanta, Georgia. A significant aspect of Martin’s work has been providing managers with the skills and tools necessary to ensure the right people are hired for the right jobs.
Martin has collaborated in the development of numerous assessments, with the culmination of his experience resulting in the development of the Berke Assessment. Martin has personally worked with hundreds of companies throughout the United States to assist them in increasing profits and productivity through better people management practices. A number of his customers have achieved national recognition based on the strength of their organizations, including Fortune Magazine’s 100 Best Companies to Work For designation, as well as industry-specific awards for being the very best in their fields.
Martin is a prolific writer and frequently featured speaker. He is currently a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) where he recently created their first Leadership Development Program. He is a Trustee of The Nature Conservancy of Georgia, and has served on the Board of Visitors of his alma mater, the University of North Carolina.

Jon Fogg
VP Sales and Marketing
Jon works with the management team to develop and implement the overall business development strategy of the Berke Group.
With over 30 years of business and 5 years of Consulting experience, Jon has used the Berke Group tools to build and lead high performing teams for a Fortune 150 company. A former Captain in the Army, Jon understands the importance of behavior, talents and intelligence as it relates to success on the job.
Jon has run 26 marathons, including the New York, the London and the Boston, and has completed three triathlons, 12 cross country ski marathons and multiple 100-mile bicycle rides. Jon sees similarities between the long-distance endurance competition and the path to success for an organization. Both require commitment, daily discipline and the systematic practice of good habits to finish strong,. And both require a dedication to long-term success versus a desire for quick fixes or easy finishes.

Jeff Adkisson
VP Engineering
Jeff leads Berke’s software development efforts. He is responsible for the systems and people that power Berke and ensures fast, reliable service to our customers.
Jeff is a hands-on software developer with nearly twenty
years of experience building business-to-business software applications. Before joining Berke in 2010, he was the Director of
Enterprise Applications at Inovis where he lead the CRM, ERP, and .NET system
integration teams. Jeff was also CTO at Enwisen, a human resource automation
company, and CTO at MeasureUp.com, a web-based test preparation company.
Jeff graduated from The University of Georgia in 1993 and
lives in Marietta with his wife, two children, and a mutt named Summer.

Janna Mansker
VP Client Services
Janna leads Berke’s education initiatives and serves as our key client advocate. She is charged with developing our learning programs and provides both on-site and web-based management training for companies and individuals. She also writes about people management strategies, trends and best practices. To ensure our clients receive the highest quality of service, Janna and her team work closely with customers to proactively provide guidance and support as they use our products and navigate their people management challenges.
Janna joined Berke in 1992 and has worked with hundreds of clients all over the United States during her 18 years with our organization. She has been a frequent speaker at industry conferences and events and has published a variety of articles on management and organizational issues. Janna graduated from the University of Georgia with a B.A. in English and lives in Atlanta with her husband and two children.
