Berke Gets a New Look

by Kelly  |  July 19th, 2011

Over the last couple of months we’ve been working hard to update the look of Berke. The original design was developed in 2005 and has served our customers well. But technology has improved and many of our customers have shared their thoughts about new features they’d like to see added to the product. So today we’re happy to present our first round of user interface improvements.  Over the coming months we have a number of additional enhancements planned and look forward to bringing you those as well.

Quick Overview of What’s New

Many of the improvements we’ve made were driven by direct feedback from our customers.   Others are changes we felt would make the product more user-friendly.  Here’s a quick list of some of the new things you’ll find in today’s roll-out of the latest version of Berke.

Let’s Get Personal

by Kelly  |  March 11th, 2011

Last week we introduced a new report to the Berke family. It’s called the Berke Personal Report, and it’s designed with your current employees in mind.

Most of our customers use Berke to help them hire great people.  Our Berke Job Fit Report and Berke Interview Guide are excellent tools to help you weed out mismatches during the interview process and identify which candidate will be your next superstar.   But…

  • What if you’ve already assembled your team and want to better understand how to maximize every player?
  • What if you could sit down with each of your direct reports and objectively discuss the individual’s strengths and challenges using data, not just opinion?
  • What if you could help each of your people understand themselves better and really see how to work with others on the team more effectively?

That’s where the Berke Personal Report can help.  It’s a streamlined version of our Berke Job Fit Report that’s designed to be shared with employees.  Rather that comparing the individual to a specific job, our new report provides asnapshot of a team member’s core personality traits and talents.  At a glance you’ll get a clear picture of how they’re hardwired.  Not only will you understand how to manage each employee better, you can help your people understand how to maximize their own key qualities while overcoming the obstacles that make parts of the job more difficult for them.

One of our customers summed it up by describing the Berke Personal Report as “the perfect tool for managing your employees from the inside out.”   We’ve always believed you have to understand why people to do things before you can really work with them effectively, so consider our Personal Reports some great “inside” information.

Launch: Berke Reports Redesigned

by Kelly  |  February 17th, 2011

The new Berke reports are live!

For the past six months, we’ve been working around the clock on a ground-up redesign of our Berke reports.  When the current version was introduced in 2005, it was groundbreaking.  But we’ve learned a lot during the past 6 years, and technology advances have given us plenty of new options.  It was time for some changes.

Our new design delivers what’s most beneficial to a hiring manager and answers that all-important question:  Is this candidate the right person for the job?

To that end, you’ll notice two major improvements:

1)   We completely redesigned the Berke Profile and renamed it the Berke Job Fit report.  Now all the information we give you centers around job/candidate fit.

2)   We created a brand new report, the Berke Interview Guide.  Its purpose is to help you conduct a great follow-up interview.

Every aspect of our new reports has been carefully evaluated.  Each sentence has been edited or completely rewritten to provide clear, concise information.  The layout is brand new and offers a better visual snapshot of your candidate.  We know change can sometimes be challenging, but we think once you see the new reports, you’ll never look back.

Below are some highlights of our new design.
